On Thursday 14th August, with the weather bright and sunny but not too hot, eleven of us undertook a lovely walk from Richmond station to Twickenham. After stopping for coffee at the café under Richmond Bridge, we crossed to the Twickenham side and headed south alongside the River Thames, passing gardens with coloured boats where three of the ladies decided to take a short rest! After passing Marble Hill House, we continued to the Orleans Art Gallery where we had lunch. Finally, we made our way to the Italian Gardens of Yorke House with its remarkable marble statues, before finishing the walk at Twickenham Station. A splendid time was had by all!
