Wimbledon to Richmond, Sunday 22nd June

On a warm, sunny day, we started our walk in Wimbledon Village, headed across the Common until we reached the brook. After following it north for half a mile or so, we crossed both the brook and the A3 to enter Richmond Park, turning north towards our lunch stop by Roehampton Gate. By this time, the sun had gone, obscured by high clouds, which made for excellent walking conditions. After lunch we headed west until we reached Richmond Gate. After leaving the park, we stopped for a well-earned drink at The Roebuck before continuing down Richmond Hill to the the station for our journey home. It had been a most enjoyably day's walking!
