Coulsdon South to Banstead, Sunday 16th October

On Sunday 16th August, six club members gathered at Coulsdon South Station in almost ideal weather for a walk along the London Loop to Banstead. We began by making the steady climb on paved footpaths to Clock House. Having completed the toughest part of the walk, we continued along rural footpaths which took us across the lavender fields and across Croydon Lane into Oaks Park where we took a well earned refreshment break. We then continued along the London Loop, heading west until we reached the A217 just north of the Banstead traffic lights, a short distance from our destination at the railway station.
