Earlsfield to Mitcham, Sunday 6th September

On Sunday a warm, sunny morning, ten club members gathered at Earlsfield Station. Leader Dave then took us on a short trek through the suburbs of south west London where we joined the Wandle Trail, heading south. Having taken a brief drinks break along the way, we reached the splendid and very busy Merton Abbey Mills complex just before 12:00, where we stopped for lunch. Afterwards, with the weather becoming very warm, we continued to follow the trail south, finishing this most enjoyable walk at Mitcham tram stop, a total distance of around five miles.
