Under promising skies, twelve of us gathered for this 4.5 mile Sunday morning stroll. Beginning from the Fieldway tram stop, we headed around the northern edge of the New Addington estate before turning north through the woods. After crossing Addington Road, we made our was uphill into Three Halfpenny Woods where we turned west to head along the southern perimeter of Shirley Common. Emerging at the top of Shirley Church Road, we followed it downhill to the park where we stopped for a drinks break. We then picked up the path that runs past Shirley High School, continuing the westward trek to our destination.
