Five club members made the bus journey to Hayes Station where this walk began. From there we made the short climb to Hayes Common. Leader Nick then guided us north-east, through the woods. After crossing two minor roads, we walked past a whole succession of sports clubs and playing fields before turning south through even more woods, eventually emerging into the village of Keston. After a good and very reasonably priced lunch at The Greyhound Inn, we made the short walk back to Sparrows Den where we caught the bus back to Croydon. In near perfect walking weather, this was another most enjoyable walk!
