Leatherhead Circular, Sunday 28th December
posted 29th December 2025
On a dull, overcast day, ten club members gathered for this moderate circular walk. From Leatherhead Station we headed south along the banks of the River Mole. We then turned west, to climb up through Updown Wood. This proved harder than we expected as autumn storms had brought down several trees! Continuing to the picnic area at the summit, we took a drinks and snacks stop. We then headed north to begin our descent and return to Leatherhead. The total distance was 5.5 miles. Afterwards, eight of us retired to The Edmund Tylney for drinks and food. All in all, this was a most enjoyable day out!
