Merstham to Redhill, Tuesday 15th September

In warm, sunny weather, five club members gathered at Merstham Station. After wandering through recreation grounds, we stopped for coffee at the park cafe. Afterwards, we circled around the scenic Lake Mercer before heading along country lanes to the charming 1650 Inn on the Pond which is currently being refurbished. It is due to reopen at Easter 2027. We then headed along wooded paths to Redhill where some of us stopped for lunch. I then realised that I'd left my jumper on a tree, and Tom kindly accompanied me back to find it, which added 1.5 miles to this interesting 4-mile walk.
