Staines to Datchet, Sunday 7th June

On Sunday 7th June, seven club members arrived at East Croydon Station for our planned walk from Datchet to Staines on Thames. However, because the trains to Clapham Junction were delayed, we were unable to get there in time to make our planned connection. But keen to make the best of a pleasant day in between several rainy ones, we caught a later train to Staines and did walk in reverse. Along the way, we stopped at for a morning break the Bell Weir Lock. We then had lunch at Magna Carta Café, finally taking a further break at Old Windsor Lock on our way to Datchet. All in all, a very successful day!
