Visit to Marble Hill House, Friday 11th September

Today, ten club members visited Marble Hill House in Twickenham. It was a lovely day, sunny but not too warm. Although the house is not very big it is packed with items of interest of the original owner, Henrietta Howard. We began by watching a film, which gave us an understanding of how the house came to be the way it is. We then toured the house, aided by a guide in every room to tell us all about room itself and the pictures and furniture in it. Afterwards, we took a walk around the garden and down to the Grotto.
This proved to be an excellent visit, enjoyed by everyone who attended!
